Pay Range: $65,000-$80,000 annual Click HERE for Benefit Information!Summary: Assists with the day-to-day managerial duties and efforts of the Security department pertaining to The Broadmoor regulations, directives, policies and procedures. Works with Director of Security to oversee a team of 40-50 Security Officers and Supervisors. Manages lost and found efforts of the department, reviews incident reports for accuracy and ensures reports are complete. Develops follow-up for incident reports, if needed. Ensures security staff have completed necessary training and maintains a certification log for all staff members. This position will oversee the department trainer and will assign, document all training activity for the department. Assists in creating a safe environment for guests and employees alike and protects the assets of The Broadmoor.Essential duties and responsibilities to include the following: • Assist with the day-to-day operations of the Security department in support of the Director of Security• Assist with the oversight and enforcement of all Broadmoor regulations, policies and procedures• Communicates (written and verbal) with guests, employees and Department Managers• Assists in overseeing the Investigation of personal injury and accidents and the written reports along with the Director of Security• Assist Director of Security with the managing internal schedules, drills and other necessary compliance programs• Maintains daily activity logs• Serve as direct manager for Security Supervisors• Recognizes and reports hazards (real or probable) pertaining to personal physical liability, fire safety and assets protection• Monitors key access to sensitive areas and reviews sign out logs• Provide a staff presence at walkthroughs, pre-cons and/or special meetings• Assists with overseeing the wilderness security training program and maintains standards of performance• Assist the Director of Security in conducting routine random checks of the physical property• Performs tasks relating to Fire Life Safety Systems, lost and found investigations, safety deposit box control, H.T. operations (2-way radios).• Other Duties may be assigned.Qualifications:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be CPR Certified and have a basic knowledge of first aid care.Education / Experience:High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required; Bachelors Degree preferred. Minimum three years’ experience in Loss Prevention or Security required. Prior supervisory experience required. Experience in a luxury hotel/resort environment preferred. Prior experience in Law Enforcement helpful.Certificates/Licenses:Must have a valid Colorado Driver’s License. CPR certified.Language Ability:Must be able to communicate effectively to guests and employees, both verbal and written. Ability to read, write and comprehend simple instructions, sort correspondence and memos. Ability to effectively present and explain information to individuals or groups of guests and/or coworkers. Math Ability:Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions and decimals. Reasoning Ability:Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. The employee is occasionally required to lift/pull/push up to 100 pounds. The vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust and focus.
